I'm very very very sure everything in my program is correct. Remotes talk through the MSC just fine with RF, but my triggered favorite channel macros will not work (Blue status light comes on for what looks like the length of the macro, but the emitter will only give the quick "trigger blink."

I cannot even get the MSC to successfully test a code for this device. I have tried importing the working codes from a MX-980 as well as getting the device from the database. NOTHING works.

I know there has been some known trouble with learning these codes but URC's are good and someone cleaned them up and posted them here as well. Has anyone else successfully talked IR to a U-verse (Motorola VIP 12xx) from a MSC-400?

How are you creating those macros? Are you using the "favorite channel" macro tool that you access after creating a smart macro for each channel? It will not work if you try creating a conventional macro.

Actually, I did use the favorite channel tool but why on Earth will it not work if creating it conventionally?

Beats me why it won't work. Makes no sense to me.

Sorry to be dense, but just to double check, you're saying it will only work if you DO use the favorite macro tool?

I could only get mine to work when I used the 'Favorite Channel' tool. I couldn't get it to work when I programmed the channel numbers as normal macros... maybe it was because I didn't program in the proper delays that my DirecTV HR-20 requires.

Is it just me or does the HRxx's proper fav's delay time seem to change from day to day, receiver to receiver? Rather frustrating

As luck would have it, the U-verse is actually VERY responsive to channel entry...almost no blackout between channels and fairly fast. Dog gone shame I cant get the triggers to work.

I just spoke to support. They confirmed it was a problem with their stuff and they would "escalate" the issue whatever that means. Guess for now the favorite channels will have to relocate their places of residence back to the remote(s.)

uverse doesnt seem to be compatible with quite a few things. i just bought a pioneer receiver and had to return it and get an onkyo because uverse and that pioneer had a known issue, for months it seems. good luck on uverse fixing the current issue with the MSC 400. guess ill stick with getting a mrf350

Don't let that stop you from getting a MSC400. It's a terrific piece. It controls the boxes fine as far as passing through the remote control's RF. It's the triggered macros (favorite channel macros in my case) that cannot include codes sent to U-Verse from the MSC. All I have to do for now allow any IR /macros sent to the U-Verse live inside the remote instead.
