Hi there,

Just about to re-do my kitchen and was wondering if the KP-4000 would fit.

I'd like to use a Linn DS player, which acts as a UpnP renderer and play music from my NAS, which has the music stored on it, in Twonky, or Assett.

I wanted to know if I could use the KP-4000 as the control point to run this ?

Thanks,
Roy.

Hi,

I can't help you with the KP-4000 but I can tell you a bit about the Linn.

There is one fatal floor with the Linn and UPnP. The Linn requires the remote to be constantly active and on the UPnP page. If the remote is ever turned off the Linn will stop playing at the end of its current song.

I found this out about 12 months ago when using it with a Nevo S70. Apparently

Linn know about this but are not / cannot do anything about it.

The obvious down side to this is you will drain the batteries very fast. Judging by the model number is the KP-4000 a keypad? If so then this may not be an issue but you will still not be able to navigate away from the UPnP page.

Hi there,

Already have the Akurate DS in my living room and was looking at putting the Sneaky perhaps into the ceiling in the kitchen.

Something like te KP-4000 on the way could be an ideal fixed control point ?

Roy.
