Anyone else getting the "Fail To Download The Patch Info File" message in the last two or three days or since the last update?
Update in CCP had been working fine previously. Never a problem. Now its not.

Yes, just posted the same in the KP-4000 thread. Checked the Control Room and everyone seems to have the same problem. We'll just have to wait until it's fixed.

Well that's good news!
You know how these little problems can turn into a big Pain In The A if your the only one.
Thanks for the info.

Are you running as Administrator?

Are you running as Administrator? Yep, I looked at that and found I was running as Administrator and there was a little box that was checked to prevent devious files, ect. I unchecked the box and it took.

Running XP on laptop and desktop and same problem. Usually a prompt would tell me about a live update available if I remember correctly, but hitting the live update button gets me the same failure prompt.

Right click CCP shortcut on desktop and select Run As. That opens a dialog box to choose which user account to use to run the program.
In my case I selected "Current User" (USER##A#\Administrator) and in a line under this selection was a box that was checked reading "Protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity" I unchecked the box, selected OK, and it downloaded.

Same problem. Running as Administrator on Windows 7 and I am getting Failure to Download Patch Info. CCP has always updated previously. Tried XP and Vista compatibility modes ... no luck.

BTW, I have the beta CCP and it's connecting properly. I have UAC turned off, so I don't need to "Run as administrator", but even trying that results in the same "patch file" error message.

Why doesn't it just work. Give me a break! Administrator, User, my Dog. My computer. Its mine. Why all the BS. Just make it work!
Here is the fix. Enter your name backwards. Hit Esc F1 and type in your mothers maiden name. Reverse your 1'st born's birthday. Re Start your computer. Log on as 39ct stamp. Spin around 3 times in your desk chair while singing New York, New York. Delete CCP and re install. But make sure you don't loose all your files. Run as Administrator.
Come On Man!

Someone reported a bug maybe relating to the MSC400. Anyone confirm?
