Well I learned the two devices that were not in the database. Next question.

This remote is for a friend not me but he told me he mainly watches DVDs, followed by NetPlayer, then OTA TV. So say he comes home from work and starts watching a DVD - "Main - Press DVD - (the DVD button turns on the TV, DVD, &A/V - switches A/V to HDMI1). Everything is fine.

Then he decided to watch the NetPlayer - "Main - Press Nplay". The TV is already on, so if the macro powers the TV it Will turn off, same thing with the A?V.

So is it best to macro the Main power button to turn on everything and not put the power commands in the macro for the devices?

Best way to handle this?

Best way to handle this? Hire a pro.

Next best way? Use discrete power commands (i.e. Power On for ON, Power off for OFF) instead of toggle power (Power for both ON and OFF)

Next best way? You got it, Turn everything on/off from the main power buttons. Then just use your "device macros" to change inputs etc.
