URC doesn't specifically list the IR codes for the Dish DTVPal DVR (also known as the Echostar TR-50), but I've read that it's the same remote as the VIP 622 / 722. I ran through every model listed under Dish and Echostar - none of them worked. Any thoughts? I've already learned all the button codes, but would really like a discrete on/off. BTW, I'm using an MX-850.

I'm curious, are you using the DTVPal to try to fix the lack of a TVGuide signal with older LGs (and a few other brands)?

Nah. Just using good ol' over the air broadcast with a DVR and no subscription. DTVPal is the only unit I've found that does that. Just trying to find a discrete on/off.

Does anyone have any universal remote working with the DTVpal DVR? I've been trying to get my URC-R50 to work. None of the stock codes work. And if I try to "learn" from the existing remote it doesn't get the buttons right - eg. "1" is "2", "2" is "3", etc.

I gave up on the URC-R50 and bought a Logitech Harmony 650 - it seems to work fine with the DTVpal DVR.
