I recently bought a pair of MX-900's from an authorized dealer who provided me with the updatable software.

I am a total neophyte at programming remotes but I decided since they were very simple installs I would take a stab at programming them myself. In each of the two rooms I have an LCD and a DishNetwork sat box.

Starting in the living room I added the both the LCD and the satellite using the IR database. Before working on punchthroughs and macros I figured I should test both devices. The satellite box works fine, but nothing on the Sony LCD is working.

Is this a bad code set in the IR database? Or am I doing something wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I got it to work using the Sony KDL-52XBR9 data set, in case anyone ever needs to know. Nice thing about using the 52XBR9 data set is there is a complete set of discreet codes in the URC database that work with the 46VL150.

What is confusing me is that my Sony remote that came with the LCD is the RM-YD028. The data set listed with the 46VL150 says it is the same data set. The XBR9 says that it is the RM-YD029.

Does URC possibly have the two data sets reversed?
