Let me get this straight - We are supposed to use CCP going forward (and I have been). I learned a bunch of codes in a few months ago in another configuration file, yet I can't access them with a universal browser because you CANT access a CCP file via Univ Browwser within CCP?

Does this make sense? How am I supposed to get at the codes? This is the kind of crap that frustrates me to death. Hopefully I am wrong and someone can tell me how I can extract a code I learned in CCP into another CCP file (or any file for that matter).

vbova,

Why do you need to use the Universal Browser for this? Why don't you create a new configuration, right click in tree view then select "Import"? This will allow you to import an existing CCP device into a new file.

as installers we use a variety of products that require IR codes, not just remotes but Multiroom products too.
it would be nice to be able to learn these codes reliably into ONE device and then use that set for all applications. currently we cannot do that with URC CCP.
it would be useful to have ONE database of codes.
RTI, Philips, Speakercraft etc allow us to create an expansive database.
obviously we do not have access to their original database Hex, but any codes that we learn in or copy/paste in are viewable, this sadly is not the case in CCP.
WE are not Joe Public, we are professional installers.

Your 100% right Jeff, tahnks and I am sorry for my lack of train of thought. It was late and I was frustrated.

It would be great to be able to access CCP with the universal browser. In this case I happeened to be using CCP for another design, but if it were for a stand alone device I might now be able to pull this off.

So how would you retrieve learned codes from a .ccp file into an MX-850 or MX-3000? Can you confirm that this can't be done? The UB doesn't work for this.

This does not work at this time. I don't know that it will ever work.
