Have tried everything suggested in the various threads, have rebooted with cable in/out, before/after starting editor, new batteries, stood on head while whistling dixie, tried using wifes PC
Using PC using XP, latest Editor software - it worked on a previous MX-900, but not working with new one I just got (& the other is at my other house so I cannpt try it)

Some suggest disabling Bluetooth - my Control Panel shows no Bluetooth to disable - Help??

Some suggest manually installing the USB driver - which one, there are like 10 of them in the URC directory?

This is really driving me batty - does anyone have any other suggestions?

I also get the Unable to connect [SC-1] error. The fix for me is to unplug the Logitech USB wireless receiver which interferes with communication between MX-900 software and the remote. So whenever I want to connect to my MX-900 I unplug the USB receiver and hookup a spare USB wired MS mouse. It might also be necessary to run the editor in administrator mode.

I'm having the same issue on a Windows 7 machine. I tried running it separated from the base station and in the base station with the Logitech USB wireless receiver pulled out but still get the dreaded Unable to connect (SC-1) error. Anyone know of any Windows 7 issues with this remote?

Garrett,
When did you unplug the USB receiver? Before booting up? While in the editor?

Thanks for your help everyone.

You guys need to find the conflicting program via process of elimination. It could be a bluetooth process, could be something else that revolves around your USB ports. If your savvy start disabling things one at a time from the autorun area. Check out your bluetooth processes and disable all traces. I can tell you mine was caused by a logitech bluetooth keyboard/mouse s\setup that created a port blockage.

Garrett,
When did you unplug the USB receiver? Before booting up? While in the editor?

Also using Window 7 (SP1 beta). Whenever I want to upload or download to the MX-900 I first unplug the Logitech Unifying receiver USB which is plugged into a USB hub port on my HP display. I then plug in a "retired" Microsoft USB mouse. Once the mouse pointer appears I start the MX-900 Editor using the Run as administrator option. Once the editor opens I connect the remote to a USB port. At the point the app to remote communications are perfect.

I also have to employ the mouse runaround whenever there are URC software/firmware updates. Years ago I tried to resolve this signals interoperability but to no avail so I'm not going to waste anymore time on the problem.
