Hi all,
I just started using CCP and have a client who had a MX980 and MSC-400, both programmed in the older stand-alone versions. I needed to modify and add new equipment, etc. Previous installer did a decent job but the company was now out of business.
This is what I did on the CCP version piecing together the two previous configs from the stand-alone editors:
In CCP, opened the original MX-980 file and then imported the MSC-400 file. I went about adding new equipment, deleting some old devices/adding new devices and cleaning things up. I then modified all of the MSC-400 macros for the new stuff and added/cleaned up the MX-980 macros for old and new stuff.
I went through and modified the RF control for the MX980 as when it was a standalone unit it did not have any of the RF settings to go with the MSC-400. I also modified all of the macro functions in the MSC-400 to match the ports and all of that.
Would you agree with this approach?? I had terrible results and yet everything looked about right to me. Any thoughts?
