I want to order a couple of really good USB cables. Are we using USB A-micro B ?

Also I run into a weirdness where the computer USB disconnect alert sounds very normal, but, the connect signal sounds totally weird and only on MX-810 plug ins. Two MX-810s will act the same . ?? Wizard reports no connection.

Thanks
Bob

Have you installed the mx-810 drivers? They should be in:
\Program Files (x86)\Universal Remote Control, Inc\MX-810 ProWizard\drivers on 64-bit windows

and

\Program Files\Universal Remote Control, Inc\MX-810 ProWizard\drivers on 32-bit windows

Drivers in Windows 7 64 bit are :
URC_USBv7 and URC_USBv7.sys (listed as "Windows XP,2000") Both dated 2007. Installed 2010, updated although the update froze on the second step "unable to update program files " or sinilar language.

This Windows 7 wizard does work on the 810 if acceptably connected.

I also have the wizard installed in an XP laptop.

I am ordering a couple of good cables before I proceed further, Thanks
Bob
