> If you'd like to avoid the problem, caused by a bug in the iPod, not
> the PSX-2, have your installer turn off the artwork. Only the iPhone
> and the iPod touch support unlimited artwork retrievals by a dock, all
> other iPods will require rebooting after a few hundred album covers
> are downloaded. It is an Apple issue.

IS THERE A FIX OTHER THAN DISABLING THE COVER ART?

URC Claims its an apple bug but cannot site or provide any details nor does apple have any bug open.

according to Apple VIP client support and training - THERE IS NO SUCH BUG

URC DOESNT WORK WITH IPOD PERIOD
AFTER 100 SONGS IT WILL LOCK UP AND YOU HAVE TO HARD RESET IPOD

did you disable the cover art?  why is this such a difficult question to answer?

here, I will make it multiple choice

Question 1:   Did you disable the cover art?

A.   Yes

B.   No

Question 2:  If you answered Yes (A)  to Question 1...  Did this fix the lockup issue?

A.  Yes

B.  No

He can't even disable his caps lock, so I wouldn't expect too much.

by the way, in order to answer the questions, you will need to type out the answer. do not try to circle the answers on your computer screen.

maybe he should change his sign on name as "a-do-do" instead of "a-cu-cu"

one way to get the dock to working is to boil it in vinegar for 20 mins. Please try that and report back to us.
Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time.
