I have noticed that my personal 980 has been requiring a reset after downloading. If i just download, it comes up with a default file full of devices on the listen page (not sure how it decides to do this) and I have to take the batterie out and put it back to get my program to show up.

I can tell you this. My 980 file shows as being fairly large, taking up about 80% of available memory. My other client's configs are not so big and I have not noticed their remotes needing this extra reset after downloading. Is it because my file is big? There is no change with standalone vs. CCP.

Anyone else ran into this

Best thing to do is download a "default" file with little or no devices in it. This will "clean" out the remote and allow you to download your file. As for size, I have several Whole House control systems with at least 300 to 400 pages of custom graphics and animations involved. The size doesn't matter here but what does is that the file you used was either a CCP original file or a MX-980 stand alone file. If you converted a stand alone into CCP it is very possible that the file became corrupt.
If it can be wired........
