Hello. I have an old MX-600 remote (which uses an MRF-100 base station) that I used to use in my home theater. I puchased an MX-810 to replace it (which uses an MRF-350 base station). I would like to continue using the MX-600 in the bedroom. I'm having problems because I have similar equipment in the home theater and the bedroom. So when I use my MX-810 in the home theater, it controls devices both in the home theater room and in the bedroom.
It appears that there are menu options to change the MX-880 to operate on a different channel so that the MX-600 does not affect anything in the home theater room. But for some reason, the MX-880 still affects devices in the bedroom. Does anyone know whether it's possible to set the MX-880 so that it is limited to only communicating on one channel? Or is my problem that the MRF-100 "listens" on all channels. So that it doesn't matter what channel my MX-880 is set to. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, that's the problem. The only thing you could try is removing the antenna from the MRF-100 to reduce its range. Then, the MX-810 might not interfere if it's far enough away.

Thank you for your response Mike. I'll try removing the atnenna and see what happens. A creative and possibly effectve solution.

I'll agree that removing the antenna should work, most of the time. It's such a joy when you turn everything on in the living room and you wake your wife up by turning on the stereo in the bedroom. That is really fun!
