I'm trying to use some codes in my URC. I have the codes in the universal browser but when I select them there are basically three choices in the Action List:
IR Code (IR Code2), Learned Data, or it is left blank.

I only seem to be able to drag the commands that say Learned Data (which there are the fewest of). How can I use the other codes? Most of the codes I want say IR Code (IR Code2).

Thanks.

IR codes are codes that are in the IR database, so you can not use them. You can only drag in the learned commands, as you have seen.

What you can do is "import" a device to your new program from an old one. Otherwise, the best thing to do is check the IR database code being used for that device and program it in to the new program.

Thank you,

So what do I do if the codes I need are in Different Code Numbers in the IR Database?

For example:

I'm trying to program my Pioneer SC-07 receiver. I like many of the codes that are in the Main 1 IR Code subset, but I want other IR commands on my LCD screen from the Surround 2 subset. It appears there are 12 subsets of codes for the SC-07. I want to mix and match which codes appear on the LCD screen for my RCVR Device.

Thanks for the help.

Can you add the devices as they are, link to the commands you want on your pages, then hide the database devices?
I haven't tried that myself so I'm curious.
They call me the "Thread Killer". Just watch!

Copy and paste will work on the MX-850 Editor (ctrl+c / ctrl+v). You can select the command you want, copy it and paste anywhere you'd like. Basically making shortcuts to commands that way. It's not the most elegant solution, but it works.

But how do you apply two different device IDs to one device? Each set of codes for the same device has a different ID.

Just create two devices. Or three, or four, depending on how many codesets you have.

RCVR1 - Main Input Commands
RCVR2 - Zone 2 Commands
RCVR3 - Surround Commands

and then when you make your macros, use whatever code you need from each device.
