Has anyone used the Kaleidescape serial driver in the MSC-400's "Serial Template Database"? Once you get a Kaleidescape player up on the screen, most of the action is Up Down Left Right Select.... those aren't even in this driver!!!

Anybody have a good rs-232 program for the K-Player? I've heard they use IR codes from Kenwood/Toshiba base..... suppose the serial side does too?

I just had a quick look at their site and they have very detailed command references (it would be nice if all manufacturers provided this sort of info). This document has all of the info you would need to manually create the commands:

BTW, I just looked at the MSC-400 editor and the RS-232 template for Kaleidescape has all of the commands you mentioned. Have you updated your MSC editor?

Thanks for the link to the pdf.

My MSC program refuses to Live Update..... it DL's everything, but then "Failed to load the patch file" occurs.
The driver I have in it is TV>Kaleidescape>"TN-003". It has entries for "One Line Up" and "One Line Down" and "Browse Select".... I fired those codes and they don't navigate the GUI. They also don't match up anywhere near what's in that pdf, as far as the "Func Data" entries are concerned.

I'm annoyed.
