I loaded my new Vista (Home Premium) 64bit computer with the mx-900 editor. When I connected the Mx-900 via the usb port the computer loaded the drivers as normal when first connected. I tried to download a mx file from the editor and the Mx-900 would not connect. I tried running the editor as administrator and Windows XP compliant, but still it would not connect. I then went to "manage" on the computer (left click on the Windows "start" icon, then right click on computer, then left click on "manage"). When the "manage" page comes up, I right clicked on "devices". I noticed when I first attached the Mx-900 via the usb port that the computer loaded the drivers for a Human Interface Device (HID). I expanded the Human Interface Device header and then plugged and unplugged the mx-900 into the usb port until i could see on the computer which device it was. I tried using different drivers until i found one that works. So, here's what worked for me. Once you spot the Mx-900 being loaded by plugging and unplugging (it will be one of the "USB Human Interface Device", right click on the device and select "Update Driver Software". Then, left click on "Browse My Computer For Driver Software". Next, left click on "Let me pick from a list......". Now uncheck the box that says "show compatible hardware", when you do this just select the "HID compliant device". I hope it works for you. I am still running the editor as administrator and xp compliant
