Everytime I try to test an IR code while trying to program a device, CCP slowly opens the dialog box that says its sending the command, a few secs later it sends the code (I'm pretty sure) but then the program locks up for 10-25 more seconds. If I try to click on anything else before those seconds are up the entire program locks and fails. Even if I dont click anything else it usually freezes. This is also true for macro testing. Makes it VERY hard to test. Anyone have any ideas? THANKS!!!

Windows XP
MX-880
version 1.3.024.0812 of CCP

All other functions work quickly, including uploading to the remote.

My experience w/ CCP and realtime USB communication to an MX-880 has been spotty at best. If I try to learn a command or test a command, I usually get a crash.

I never use the test IR in CCP or even the standalone editors. Had too many times when it didn't work via the test feature, but worked in the remote. Since it ultimately has to work in the remote anyway, I just download devices and try them out if I'm working with a new component. Takes a little more time, but you really have to do that anyway to make sure the commands do what they're supposed to and are in the right place.

Good work around- never knew a code could not work in the IR test via USB, but could work when downloaded to remote. I'll try your method from now on, thanks.

Not to mention the inconsistency of RF testing among editors/CCP. URC, It would be really nice if you could get this stuff fixed. Speed programming, hardly, when there are so many surprises.

I can call tech support with one of these issues on one day, then the following week call back, TALKING TO THE SAME PERSON, and they still are not aware of the problem.
