That is my plan of last resort if I cannot find some assistant
online. What

is the typical turnaround time for URC authorization?

If you are signing up with a distributor, it should be pretty quick. I got an account w/D*L in a day. Regional distributors could be quicker, if you have your documentation in order. To sign up with URC direct requires a whole lot more...

Yeah, I contacted URC directly and they said once I open the account with the manufacturer rep, the rep will provide an access code for the URC web site where I can register an account.

Would your asterisked supplier be referring to a company out in the southwest of the country (avoiding providing the state to keep it as confidential as possible in a public forum)? I have an account with them, however, I did not think that they were authorized for the URC line. They sell a lot of stuff as 2nd tier and out of their territorial restrictions if its the company I a thinking of. If they are authorized, and will be able to provide an access code, I will just call them up (granted they haven't heard from me in about a year).

Did you check the downloads section at craigslist? Go to products/support/downloads... then pick your model (MX-3000) then choose your operating system and click the download button.

Can anyone help me. I need a copy of the MSC editor for my msc-400. I bought it from an authorized dealer but he doesn't want to give me a copy of the software.

Take it back... Buy it from someone who will give you the software.

I have an MX-800 that originally came with the updatable version of the editor (I bought it from an authorized dealer). However, I had to reload my hard drive and now the old version that I have (1.12.203) no longer works. It has the live update feature, but when I attempt to use it, it just says: "Download Failed." I assume this is because URC reorganized their web site, because when I attempt to use the Help, Go to Web Site menu, it also fails to find the correct page.

So, I have the updatable version, but it is no better than the version I can download off URC's site because live update is broke. Actually, it's worse, because it is an older version.

So, I want to contact URC and get the most recent version (I have a receipt from the dealer), but the last time I contacted customer service, I never received a reply. Does anyone have a contact email @ URC that I can use that will actually result in a response of some sort?

Thanks!

I've been reading on a few threads that people in the Montreal area don't know who or where to call for URC product or custom programming.

I just want to let them know that I can help them. I'm on the south-shore of Montreal.

They just need to PM me.

Thanks
RBQ : 8356-7164-17 - I'm paying 600$/year for this number ; they told me I could put it anywhere so...there!

The download is on the dealer site, I just looked. The software is only available to dealers.
