You have to create a device, then write commands for each button. Then on the device in the tree view, right click, tools, convert to smart macro group. You drag each macro "button" to the corresponding button on the 6000.
I've followed this thread. I have an MSC-400 (actually two) setup connected to DENON equipment using RS-232. I have created the smart macro group and tested all of the commands and they work from the computer through the USB cable to MSC-400 out the RS-232 and to the component. That part of the chain works without any problems.
The part I'm missing is I can't seem to link the MX-6000 to generate the RF trigger commands for the MSC-400 smart macros. I'm trying to drag the commands from model designer window to the MX-6000 page button. Unfortunately when I do that the command from the smart macro seems to drag to the button but nothing changes in the MX-6000 window (doesn't replace the IR command that is already there with the smart macro).
I must be missing something easy. Sorry about the Newbie question.
