I have been trying to get the MX-3000 to sync with the Editor (updatable version - latest build) under Win7 32 bit Build 7000.

Problem is the driver.

I have been following the steps as laid out here [Link: adirob.blogspot.com]. While these worked very well with a Vista 32 bit install, I am struggling with step 9, where under W7 the selectable hardware is extremely limited and ‘Microsoft USB Sync’ is not available.

I unsuccessfully searched the web for a driver download. I also tried to extract the driver files from the Vista build to no avail. (The latter was more a trial and error attempt without really knowing what I did.)

Where can I download or get this 'Microsoft USB Sync’ driver from?

TIA!

I got MX-6000, 3000, 980 to work with the Windows 7 beta. You must download Windows Mobile Device Center for it to work.

Been testing the MX3000 software on Windows 7. I can connect to the remote using the above instructions, everything seems to work as advertised. Software will not update however. It starts to run and then I get "Fail to save patch file" error.

Now if I run the editor software in Win 7's Virtual PC in XP mode the software will update, however I cannot get the remote to connect under XP mode.

Anyone have any update problems specific to Windows 7? Any ideas?

Regards,
John

Never mind. Ran the program as an administrator and it updated.
