I have a MSC400 and NEC 42XR4 Plasma which i want to control with RS232
But i cant seem to get it to work,
I got the RS232 Codes from the Manual which read

Off - 9F 80 60 4F 00 CE

when entered it comes out like this

9F, 80, 60, 4F, 0, CE

I have tried with and Without a Carridge Return

but i get no response from the Panel.

Any Suggestions?

If CE is your checksum, my calculations come up with 1CE for that, not CE. Also is your Baud, Length, Parity and SB set in the 400? Should be 9600, 8, Odd, 1. You may need to check pin-outs on your Plasma RS232 as well.

Lower order 8 bits...CE should be correct. Sorry. But I'd check your Parity. I'd guess it's not set to Odd.

Your code looks correct based on the documentation. No Carrige return should be required. Do you know what the pin assignments on the actual plasma are?

If you get a solution, please post it, and share the knowledge.
