My MX-3000 no longer "clicks" into the charger base. I've determined that the small pastic tab at the front of the base is broken. Does anyone know if the charger base (without the transformer) can be ordered from URC?

How long have you had the remote? Is it still under warranty?

It may have to be sent in for repair, either for free under warranty, or for a fee.

Where did you buy it? Perhaps the dealer can order one for you?
When ignorance is bliss, ‘tis folly to be wise.

I have the same problem. Surely there is a way to just order a new charging base?

I have a spare one that I have never used. If you are interested in it email me.

Call URC and order one from Customer Service. You can reach them at: (914) 835-4484. I don't think they should cost much.

Thank you,
Damon DG

Interesting -- I have a newer one that has never clicked. I don't even see anything on the remote that would catch. The base looks like it originally had a tab, but never did. Was this changed for the newer ones?

I'm not sure about the newer ones. Mine is about 2 years old.

Yes the newer MX-3000 doesn't click into the charger anymore.

We eliminated the clicking mechanism after the first generation of the product. People had a tendency to forget that the remote needed to snap into place, and as a result, the remote never charged even though it was sitting on the base.

Best regards,
Dale
