Interested in anyone who can recommend a good, honest and reliable Universal Remote Dealer that they have had good experiences with.

Thanks

I recommend myself.

I trust myself implicitly, I'm honest as the day is long and I have had many good experiences with myself.

Hope this helps.

If not, try posting a little more information... such as where you live. I'm sure that there are quite a few excellent dealers in your area who would be more than happy to sell you a Remote (they would also have to program it for you).
If Bush's brains were gasoline, he wouldn't have enough to power a piss-ants go kart around the inside of a Cheerio.

I purchased from Pro Remotes and can recommend them. They will provide the remote with the fully operation software; they provide a link with username and password to download it. If you do not want to program it yourself they provide this service for an additional fee. I purchased an MX-900 and it is a very nice remote and easy to program. I did consider one of their consumer remotes but they are not PC programmable.

Does the software that an Authorised dealers supplies with your remote allow for live update?

Not necessarily. They may not supply any s/w.

Unless you're 100% positive don't buy from a dealer unless they have a return policy without restocking charge.

That is excellent advice for anything you buy of any value on the Internet.

SurfRemote or ProRemotes that you will find ads for on this site will supply the software and are reliable, honest dealers.

I would love to buy from either one of these guys, but they wont ship internationally.

I will not buy locally in Australia as they are a total rip off at $2500AU for an MX3000 and MRF350. (I'll buy on eBay before I pay that)

I have no problem buying from an authorised dealer in the US as the pricing is realistic.

All I want is a Universal MX3000 and MRF350, I didnt think it would be that hard, but it is starting to get frustrating!

I had a good experience with BlueDo (www.bluedo.com). About a year ago I purchased an open box MX-850. After the whole 8/1/06 URC screw-the-end-user fiasco I contacted BlueDo for the software update, and they helped me out no problem.

Surf Remote and Pro Remotes, as well as Blue do. They're all great. They also give the updatable s/w. Maybe they could make an exception with the international shipping.
