Thanks for the compliment!

I would expect that the existing graphics assets for the MX-980 would just be brought over intact should we move that remote to the CCP platform. However, if any future remotes use the same screen size, we might at that time make new graphics for that remote, and the new graphics would end up fitting the MX-980 screen. However, just fitting the screen doesn't totally solve the problem, because the MX-980 sort of relies on the shape of the button image to make it clear which hard button you're supposed to push.

Best regards,
Dale

Gotcha. I guess my question didn't really have anything to do with CCP. I was just wondering if there are any plans to add brand buttons for the 980. I like the idea of having pre-made buttons with all the various brand names on them. I guess you've already done the hard part by making them for the 6000, they would just have to be resized for the 980, 880, etc.

Well, believe it or not, it's actually just an issue of resizing. The logo images I started with are all on square backgrounds. Some of them will fit in a rectangular space, but many won't. So it's probably about as much work to recreate them in the wide format as to have created them in the first place. Surprisingly, the process of adding the glass effect and the shadowing is by far the easiest part. I create that effect independently in my graphics software, then I just embed the logo file inside the button shape I've already created.

I'd love to do the full set for MX-980, but I'm already moving on to another project, so that's why I suspect it won't happen anytime soon. ...sorry.

Best regards,
Dale

Not be confused with the MX1000.
