(Sorry for the cross-post from Control Room)
Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines!
The installer that went up today contains the base package for Complete Control Program, which is the editor software for MX-6000.
Early next week, we'll add additional installers that will deliver full galleries for all the templates, a HUGE set of Favorite Channel icons, sorted by US state, plus an installer for Canadian favorite channels. Those files are ready to go... there just wasn't time to get the additional installers ready before the Thanksgiving holiday.
I hope you like the new templates. They're mostly new creations... I think that only SpacePort was a carry-over from previous remotes. In addition to the ten new templates, CCP delivers over 420 main menu icons in the Activities, Devices, Brands, Rooms, Lighting, and Blanks, categories... and every one of those come in two sizes. As you'll see in the expansion pack next week, every template also has an extensive gallery of button varieties for building configurations we may not have thought of. But before you ever get there, you'll discover how much easier CCP makes programming and arranging your client's remotes.
It's been a long road... most of you guys will never know how much work went into this release. I'm very, very proud to be part of the team that got this product to market.
And yes, MX-6000's are now shipping from our warehouse!
Let us know what you think! We know that every launch is a starting point, not an end. So we're eager to take your feedback and continue growing CCP and MX-6000 to be your go-to piece for touchscreen installs!
Best regards,
Dale Crawford Product Designer

Damn it man, you beat me to it...
Any idea when the Autonomic Controls program will be ready to pull Windows Media and iTunes into the program?

I haven't been directly involved with the My Music module since I first designed the UI with Joe. My understanding is that it's gone through some changes since then, and that it is currently in testing.

"My Music" is the 2-way module you're referring to. Autonomic handled some of the development, but the module isn't named after them.

Very nifty looking. However why isn't the Universal Browser dockable?

I noticed that when in the add device/room page, the instructions say to drag and drop rooms and devices, yet it won't let me drag and drop, just use the add button.

Is the MX-6000 and Complete Control Software available for DIY use, or only from integrators who also program it? I don't purchase anything I can't install and program by myself.

As a former DIY guy, I completely understand.
Yes, MX-6000 and Complete Control Program are designed for professional custom installers, so they fall under the same distribution guidelines as other Complete Control Products. While we do not prohibit direct sale of these products or distribution of editor software to end users, we leave that decision in the hands of the installer who stocks and sells the product. We neither prohibit them from nor require them to include editor software with the remote.

Anyone have any idea when the other models will be merged into the Complete Control Program?

Future models will ship as part of CCP. Some of the older models will be added over time. I can't discuss the timeline for that, though.

General question about the MX 6000 and PSX 1... I have a ReadyNAS drive with a lot of movies and audio... I have seen the brochures... It says it will stream cover art, etc... However, I am assuming the PSX 1 is not going to stream video from my ReadyNAS, correct? If i purchase a media streamer like Popcorn hour, etc. I am assuming that the MX 6000 is not going to stream the cover art, etc.. Am I off base here?

Dale, does this mean that brand buttons will be coming to the MX-980 etc. in the future? Nice job on the graphics on the 6000 by the way!
