Hi,

Just picked up a blu-ray player. Unfortunately the IR codes conflict with my Panasonic S77 DVD player.

The BD30 has a setting to change the IR code set. Default is Set 1, but there is also Set 2 and Set 3. I have tried both sets 2 & 3 and the good news is they do not conflict wit the S77.

The bad news is that I can't seem to find codes in the URC MX900 IR database for either set 2 or 3. I have tried all 12 of the generic Panasonic DVD sets (Panasonic1 thru 12) but the BD30 has not responded to them. Interestingly, the s77 responded to about 8 of the sets.

Does anyone have or know where I can find discrete codes for the BD30's IR code set 2 or 3 please? I can learn the codes into my MX900 but I would not have discretes that way.

PS. prefer to keep the S77 in my setup as the DVD upscaling is better than the BD30s upscaling.

I'm having the same problem. I ended up learning all of the code 2 codes from the remote. Of course there are no discrete on/off buttons on the remote so there's no way to learn those. Have you had any luck in obtaining the on/off codes?
