Is it possible to extend the flasher and the MRF300 antenna over a single CAT5?

I want to extend the antenna to the TV location were I have a CAT ran for the flasher

You should probably pay attention to interference issues, similar to what's described by Eric Johnson in this thread.

Yes, that is typically how we extend the emitters and antennas. There may be a thin coating of teflon on the emitter wire. You will need to burn that off, in order to get a good signal. Just take a lighter to it for a second and be sure not to burn the wire.

is there some kind of write up somewhere on the best way to use the Cat 5 to extend the flashers etc?.....the best way to solder the very small wires, and prevent one from coming in contact with another within the tiny bundle.....the only info i can search up is to use a lighter to strip the wires because of their fragile size, but can you give me any other recommendations?.....thanks in advance

Do it all of the time, but usually replace the URC emitter with a Xantech emitter for the long distance. Never ran into a problem yet.

I bite the coating off the CAT wire work perfect. Sad... I know... but it works.

Also, I started using these new plastic connectors that insert each conductor and then the top clamps down. Someone else may know who makes them.

I'd be nice to solder to a connector or to a plate so the emitter or antenna could be removed/replaced, and a connector could also provide stress relief.
