I hope my MX-810 is not dead dead. Wen I looked at it today the screen is black and it keeps flashing the Universal Remote Control logo. I tried removing the battery hitting the reset button, removing battery and hitting all the keys twice. When I do the last step after putting the battery all the keys light up and it looks like it's going to load but then all goes black and the logo starts flashing again.

OK while typing this an idea came to me. I plugged it into the power source and it came back to life. Some how the battery must have gotten depleted over night (it was over half full last night) and it only had enough juice to put it in the flashing logo state. I'm recharging my battery now, I hope it's not dead.

I decided to post this anyway since when i searched for an answer I couldn't find one. So just in case someone runs into this and does a search maybe they will find it.

If one of these flakes out, always assume the battery is dead. If recharging fails, THEN start looking for the weird stuff.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
