I have had an MX-950 for several years and have been very successful with it. Recently I needed to add new devices and when programming startup macros in the Watch window I was not getting the macros to execute when downloaded into the remote. However, if I execute the command from the PC in test mode it works perfectly.

I am using MX950 Editor (1.10.086 - FW 1.37), which I understand is no longer supported. Of course I am not a dealer so I do not have ready access to the new software. I asked at my local Tweeter dealer and they said they could not help. I purchased the remote 3000 miles from here, so visiting the store is out of the question.

I saw another thread about software problems with similar results although the remote was different. This appears like a software problem, but I have not called URC because of their reputation for dealing only with certified programmers.

Any suggestions?

Which macros don't work, the ones you added or all of them?
Also? Are you using a RF base station?

I have continued to play with it and have discovered that any Macro with a Press-Hold option fails to execute. If I remove the Press-Hold option and stick with a Normal option only, then the macro works.

I checked my online update log and it says I have 1.10.125 with IR DB 1.83, although the Help, About says 1.10.086.

I really liked using the Press-Hold as a mechanism for switching modes without executing any macros, just switching device menus.

Who is your local Tweeter dealer (which store)? Where did you original purchase the remote from?

Please state a full run down of your system and whether you are using RF or not.

I am using RF. Each device is set to both RF and IR. The plasma TV uses the IR as it is the only device in the same room. I bought the RF base station with the MX-950.

I am controlling a Pioneer Pro 1130 HD, Anthem D2 controller, Scientific Atlanta 8300 HD DVR and Marantz DV8300 DVD/SACD player.

My Tweeter dealer is in Cary, NC. I purchased the MX-950 in Seattle, WA.
