So my junor programer for mx remotes, programed one for this client. It was an Onkyo Receiver Audio(486) is the codes set i dont remember the model#

Anyway the client says that Zone2 comes on sometimes when they press Watch Cable?

I assume that they are crazey and just pressing everybutton they can find as well as "we never watch TV"

So i go out there and try to recreate the problem.

watch on,cable and dvd all work fine for me.

then i press off then quickly press on.
Zone2 turns on but not Main Zone.

I discover that the little red "status" light flashes when receiving IR.
and if you issue the on command while its flashing from receiving the off command it turns on zone2. WTF? And the thing flashed for 3-4 seconds.

You/they may interrupting the off macro. Possibly put in a "wait" page so they understand the system is busy and they should not press anything else, until the "wait" page is gone.

If your last command in the OFF macro has a zone 2 off command, the zone 2 "window of opportunity" which lasts five seconds, may be the culprit.

A time delay long enough to let the flashing LED stop doing so will keep that from occurring.

When mixing main and zone 2 commands, the zone 2 commands are last in the list.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

This Seems like what is going on. But No zone2 commands are being issued those are on listen off.

That was my solution. but i placed it at the end of the off commands on MZ and Z2
