Very first experience with MRF-350:

Replaced an MRF-250 on a new system that was not working. Guy had:

3 Cable boxes - one for Bedroom, Kitch, and Fam Room all Scientific Atl 8300HD.
Yamaha 1700 Recever
2 DVD Players
1 CD Changer

As soon as I connected the RFX 250 to the 350, light started blinking like crazy. Emitters themselves did not respond, and seemed backed up. I replaced the RFX-250 with an RFX-150, and SUCCESS! Everything worked great from inside.

I had previoiosly adjusted the RF signal on the base unit, but nothing could get that light to stop. Strangely, when I tried to connect another RFX-150 to the base unit via Cat5 in the bedroom, nothing worked again. I unplugged the RFX-150 and everything worked fine.

I would be nterested in hearing from people why this occured and if it even should have.

Regards,
V

Hi Vincent,

Sounds like the RFX-250 may be bad. Have you tried connecting it via the phoenix connector to see if that makes a difference (assuming that you were using the plug)?

What do you guys do typically whewn you install a base station and RFX antennea, whether it be the 300,350, or any other remote? My guys keep the damn base unit so close to the equipment and they put the antennae about 2 feet away from the base unit. When they extend it they put it behind the plasmas or LCD's. I know this is making for poor performance...
