I've searched forums/threads searching for discrete codes for my Panasonic plasma (TH50PX600U). Lots of good information and some promising leads - unfortuantely, no solid answers (maybe I just can't see them). Can anyone help?
In one thread I came across a .mxd file - what application must I use to read the file?
Thx

to read a MXD file, you need to use the MX editor from URC. I am pretty certian that the Panasonic has discrete power on and off. for Input you would need to press input than the number.

Thanks. BTW, I contacted Panasonic and got the proverbial "we don't support other manufacture's remotes - please use the Panasonic remote." I'm surprised they treart their customers this way.
If anyone else has the discrete codes, I'd sure appreciate a copy.

Considering that you have a MX 3000 you should be able to use the IR database to get the Panasonic code for the TH-50PX500 and it should work for the 600 as well. good luck

Sorry to continue asking. I tried to open the .mxd file in the MX Editor. In the file-open dialogue box the only files it sees are .rcc files. Is there a trick to opening the .mxd file?

.mxd files can only be imported into the MX-700, 800 or 850 editor. If you don't have any of those editors, send me the .mxd file and I can save it as an .mxf file which can be used with the Universal Browser in your MX-3000 editor.

I looked at the file you sent me and it's mainly using IR database commands, probably from the TH-50PX500 mentioned above. There are no discrete inputs, just macros for each input that include an "Input" button press, followed by a number (ie: "Input" and "1" for Input 1). There's really nothing in it that you couldn't get from the IR database.

Also, with the latest update, you can now open .mxd files in the UB.
