i have a hr20-250 hd dvr. when i try to program a digital channel like 2-1. i have not found a way to record a dash from the ir codes or learn remote option. when i use the remote that came with the dvr it works fine. but it will not capture the dash on the mx-900 genesis. has anybody had any luck

use the "advance" command from the IR database

sorry, I hit the post reply too soon.
in the ir database select DVR then use tivo for brand
all tivos use the same code set unless they have been
changed to a different address
so in the database navigator select the "advance" command
and drag it onto the button that you want it to go.
