I just ordered an MX-850 that comes in Thursday. Can't wait to get it.
Anyways, I was just thinking, if you have the IR ports mapped out to individual devices is the MX smart enough to multi thread the macros?
For example say I have IR port 1 on on my TV and IR port 2 on my receiver. Then I have a macro that turns on the TV then selects VID1 then turns on my receiver then selects input1. Will it send the commands for the TV in one thread and the receiver in another or does it send one command at a time?
It would be cool if it was multi threaded because it could cut macro times down a bit in macros that span multiple devices.

Threaded or not threaded, the remote can only send out one command at a time whether its IR or RF. That's just the nature of the beast. Unless I'm totally out to lunch on this one, you'd have to have dual IR and/or dual RF output emitters in order to send out two commands at the same time.

Currently URC only uses a single RF frequency, so even if you took two different remotes blasting out macros to two different base stations, they'd still conflict and stomp all over each other.

the commands are sent one at a time. You can have as many steps as you want and the mrf will route the commands to the right device automatically and in order of sequence just as you built the macro. Just make sure you address everything properly.
