Hey Thanks for the Info, That was the way i did from the start, but it always showed a white background. Even though it should show blue.
But i tried the tool called logo tools. It worked like a charm. I guess one thing i do like about the tool is that you can size the Image to fit the button. It can be increased or reduced very easily. thanks again for the reply' s.

Thanks for the tutorial. I've used this technique for my remote. Here are some screen shots:

Also for all activities on Page 2 I made buttons for lighting control:

I love this remote! I think it would be really cool to make this a normal feature of the software and extend it to devices as well so every screen you have the option to make a custom icon.

Hi, It seems if i save a image to the device section in the program files, it sized to 88x59 and in PNG file form. It will not show up on the ProWizard software. Is their something you need to do to make it show. It is placed in
C:\Program Files\Universal Remote Control, Inc\MX-810 ProWizard\swffile\Graphics\Text Only\Icons\DVR Section.

You have to replace one of the current icons. It sucks, but there is some sort of library file somewhere that tracks the icons that belong. I saved a backup of the Text Only subfolder in case I ever wanted it back and then started to replace icons using the same name.

dsp81, nice work! I would love to get a copy of your WZR file and PNGs. I think that if I can look at what you have done, then it will become more clear. Following is my email address: [email protected]

Just received my 810 and am trying to get as much info as I can before I start programming. Can't believe that URC doesn't include any documentation on the software.

Thanks, Mike

Have been trying to get this to work for such a long time and then realized I set up "Favourites" not "Favorites"!

Quick question, I have created a "Favorites" activity "Watch Cable TV" and have set it up so that the 1st 2 screens have cable box controls and the next 3 screens have favorite channel icons etc. Is it possible to create an exact duplicate of this favorite activity. I want to have another one exactly the same and then modify it to be "Watch Cable Tv with Headphones" so the surround receiver does not switch on. I don't want to do all the work again recreating it (plus I want it to look exactky the same).

Thanks!

You need to make sure there are commands on the buttons. In other words, make sure you have added favorite channel numbers or commands in the browser.

Using the software to overlay text onto the buttons does not work very well. I usually just edit the image itself to have the text I need.

I have favorite channel numbers/commends on the other pages, but it still does not work? I tried resetting the remote and still only the first 3 pages show up?

Spoke to tech support, they do not know what to do with the favorites pages, they sugested a reinstall but that did not work.

For the macros they suggested going into the browser and setting up so the discrete "On" buttons are pressed several times, worked with all devices except my tv.
