I am going to program a MX850 and the receiver is a Marantz SR6001. Is there a code in the Universal Remote Control data base that will control the entire Marantz SR6001, the SR6001 is not listed as a receiver on their site?

Whose site? The SR6001 is most definately in the IR DB, have you checked that in the mx editor?

I was stupid, when I installed the MX850 today, I did not do a live update, it is in the database, thanks

It's necessary that you update your MX850 software before uploading recently-shipped MX850's (since August).
