I live updated both my MSC-400 and MX-3000, loaded as test file for woring w/ a USB keyboard (didnt work), reloaded my production version and now NO COMMANDS ARE BEING RECEIVED BY THE MSC-400!!! I have a total BOAT ANCHOR for a remote.

I got a new error when downloading to the MSC-400: "You are connected to an RF1WAY-Micom version 1.02.001.007, if you need to set two RFID# for an MX-950 or MX-3000 , you must use an RF1WAY-Micom version 1.02.001.009. However, if oyu are using an MX-900 or TX-1000 , you can simply use RFID#s from ID#10 to 1F to address IR outputs 7-12"

I have 12 devices all routed via RF due to very noisy IR/RF conditions. Devices 7-12 were assign line id 1-6 (overlaping deives 1-6) per URC's recomendation due to the MX-3000 Editor not yet being able to support RF ID above F. This was all working perfectly, now I'm dead in the water, with now way to control this system without completely reprogramming...

Any help?

OK, there is a new Configuration option in the MSC-400 to set the RF ID's for 1-6 and 7-12 independantly. Unfortunately, the update steps on the existing ID's. You have to uncheck the Secondary RF ID and reset the Primary back to what you had before.

Everything appears to be cool.

There is still a huge bug in the whole "Save" process, you cant unless you close and say yes when prompted to save the config.

My heart dropped, my customer's heart dropped and it looked like the end of the world! WHEW!!!!

Hey! Thanks for letting us in on the whole drama! I hope your ticker didn't take too big of a hit!

Thanks for the info, jb!

Hi JB I ran into the same message. Can you let me know where the option for 7-12 is. I have updated to the most recent version and don't see it.

Thanks

Good Luck!

Thanks JB. I do not see an option for 7 to 12. Perhaps we are using different versions? I updated mine yesterday.

Hmmm...I just did a live update and there were no updates available...

Is yours the stand alone editor or part of the Complete Control Suite? Mine is standalone...

JB,

It seems that the only way to get the version of MSC Editor that will update to 1.10.143 is to uninstall it, download Complete Control Suite and let it download the MSC-Editor. The one it downloads will update to 1.10.143.

If you just go back to the URC Control Room and download the stand-alone editor posted there you will not get .143.

With .143 you will not get the dialog box talking about different MICOM versions.

Thanks Eric, I've contacted my AD, and have to wait and see if I can get a copy of the Complete Control Suite...

Yes. I do get that dialog box too. I was using another editor and didn't see it the last time. It isn't an error, it is just a warning. Everything will work as it has.

So what's the scoop with this message? Are there two versions of the MSC-400 hardware?

Or is it a firmware thing that we can update?

It seems to imply that the MX-3000 will never support direct routing to IR ports 7-12 using that MICOM rev-level...
