I got the Pro working for all signals rs-232 from the msc-400. Only thing is the Volume buttons. I did search and found Krell preamp with a fix. I tried it but that method didn't work for me. I am not sure what to adjust to try and fix this one.
So far I have rs-232 working properly for the Fireball and Sherbourn except the Volume up and down.

ps, It only moves one increment at a time and I can't seem to speed it up.

Have you tried messing around with the ramp speed in the MSC-400 for the Volume up/down?

Is there some secret to finding where this is in the MSC? How do I locate the ramp speed setup?

On the tree view of the MSC Editor, you should have your device converted to smart macros. Select your volume up/down, double click on the RS232 code when it appears in the main windows. Check the repeat while button is pressed box then play around with the ramp speed / ramp start.
The secret has been revealed...

I took out the other stuff added and it stopped working. So I had to put back in the before and after press on the mx-3000 volumes.

Volume is still slow moving. How do I make it faster like the IR remote that came with it?

Select your volume up/down, double click on the RS232 code when it appears in the main windows.
Check the repeat while button is pressed box then play around with the ramp speed / ramp start. Ramp speed give you the ability how fast/slow to make the MSC-400 send the RS232 commands - Experiment with different speed to achieve your best result

I made both ramp start and ramps speeds a 10 on both lines. That really makes it work like it's IR now.
Thanks, BNC
