I have a DELL Inspiron 8200. Hard drive is new 160GB loaded brand new. I use the MX-900 MX-810, MSC-400 and the MX-3000 often All the software seems to lock up for a few seconds or be sluggish. Like I am on a bad internet connection. I am now getting quicker at programing but this HIGHLY enoying thing the software does makes me want to scream.
Any thoughts out there? I have reloaded twice... the URC software. 1 GB of memory.

That's intriguing. My laptop is about 1/5 the speed of your machine, and has 1/2 GB of memory and I have all of the URC software loaded and it runs fine, and quickly.
What operating system? XP? Vista?
When you uninstall, do you delete the URC folder in the Programs folder?
Where did you get the sofware.
More info please.
Also, what does 160GB loaded mean? Is the HD loaded to capacity or do you have plenty of room for the swap file, etc.?
Again, more info please.

Every damned computer I have seems to have a fit and lock up when I hit the punchthru button. It is a URC issue but it only actually locks up 1 in 100 times but it was enough to get me to regularly use the save button.

Anyone else curious as to why the complete control suite uses 30mb of memory when it's running? It's a damn shortcut bar.. the editors use less memory than that.
And yes, punchthru's on the 900 take about 15 seconds for the window to open... longer if i've had the software open for a while.

Maybe not a screw loose, but something weird going on with your computer.
I have a fairly slow laptop and the punch-through window just snaps into place... no wait whatsoever. Not even a blink.
Windows XP, 512 MB RAM, 5400 HD.
I do not find ANY areas of the program to be sluggish, even if the program has been left open for hours while I change, download, play with the remote, check my email, surf the net, decide to re-arrange stuff in the Editor, download again, etc.
Makes me go "hmmmmmmmm......" when I see these problems, especially the punch-through window taking so long.
Could this have something to do with using files over and over again, or importing and deleting device files from the same master file(s) over and over again.
Or, are you having these problems with a brand new, clean file?
