Hi,
I have one of the original Cinema Reference pre/pro's from Audio Design Associates. Unfortunately, I do not have a factory remote for it. I currently have an MX-800 remote, but have not been able to get it to control the volume up and down smoothly, only one click at a time (which I have been told is somewhat of a common issue with URC). Also, with the template that I currently have, I'm only able to access a few of the unit's surround modes with the remote. I don't need the MX-800 to be able to control every single feature on the unit, but it would be nice to be able to have a smooth volume up and down as well as access to all of the surround modes (I am currently able to access all of the Cinema Reference's inputs with the remote). If anyone could assist me, I would greatly appreciate it, as I have had a very tough time trying to find any information or discussions related to this particular pre/pro and a compatible remote. Another member on this site kindly sent me a command set he said that he had generated for this unit and I imported it via the universal browser, but have not had any luck getting it to work. If anyone out there can offer any help, or currently has a URC remote that they are using to control an original Cinema Reference, please let me know. Thanks.
