Hi everybody
I have not connected to MX 3000 editor for a long time because I was having trouble with the ActiveSync, every time I wanted to connect I kept getting a WCEUSBSH.SYS when I was trying to install the hardware. I managed to figure out that you have to select the browse button and then look in the ActiveSync folder and then in the driver folder and then select the WCEUSBSH.SYS file and everything was okay.
When I was able to use the MX 3000 editor I tried to do a live update and all I kept getting was (failed to download patch info file) can anybody help me
Cheers Raz

Raz, Do a search on this topic, many topics on it...Are you using Vista or XP?
If Vista your using Vista, right click on the MX-3000 Icon, select run as administrator...then click liveupdate
If XP - Turn off Firewall, Control Panel / Security Settings ( or any other personal firewall)

Hi
Thanks for your reply. I tried what you say but still no joy, I'm running XP media Centre I thought I would try the other way but when I tried to run as an administrator I did not know what password to put in so it wouldn't work. Would you have any more suggestions because I would really like to update it.
Cheers Mike

Look at what version of the MX-Editor you have. If your IRDB is less than 1.75 or 1.76 you have the old MX-Editor and it will no longer update.
