I have two DirecTV HR20-100s. I am using an MX950 and want to control one OR the other using the RF. I am using the MRF-300 base station.

But, now, when I program one, the other does the same thing. How can I separately program and control them with the MX950?

I would rather not use the DTV RF Remote.

I have tried to search this forum as I am guessing the question has already been answered, but can't find anything.

You need to change one of the Hr20's to the alternate IR codeset, 00003. When changing one receiver cover the other.

First program code 00003 to either av1 or av2 on the oem remote. slide back to dtv symbol device and enter the menu of the receiver;

1. menu> settings> setup> remote> receiver mode>

2. you will see either DIRECTV or AV1/AV2, click whichever to reveal both

3. press AV1/AV2, the remote shouldn't work any longer, slide to av1 or av2 whichever has code 00003

4. press done.

I'm sure the mx950 must have this alternate codeset in its database??

You can also just duplicate the device in your remote file, and give it a Different emitter port, and route all commands for the second SAT to that second emmitter.

Then you still have two oem remotes lying around that will control both receivers at the same time. An accident waiting to happen. Go with two independent addresses.
