Q: If the set-up settings were the same on all sets of a given model, (by the way, what model are we talking about here? Sorry Ernie but you missed your chance), why wouldn't the mfgr just set them all the same at the factory? A: Cuz each LCD's settings are unique due to tolerence differences between electronic components!
