Howdy All...

I'm new to the forum and would love some suggestions for my particular setup.

My wife got a new console/media cabinet that has wooden doors on it so line of sight (unless we watch TV etc. with the doors open) won't work. I'm looking for a solid RF solution, or a way around the "volume" issue. Here is my setup:

Onkyo Receiver (All Components Fed Through HDMI - IR Remote)
2 DirecTV Receievers (Each on their own awesome RF channel - boxes also will accept IR)
Apple TV (IR or WiFi via iPhone so that is a great option there)
Insignia Blu-Ray Player (Needs IR)
Samsung TV (2009 Model / IR)

So ideally I get a remote that is quick and can handle everything, but I'm not excited about losing my DirecTV RF remotes because they are SO QUICK and great without line of sight. I can work my Apple TV with my phone and honestly we don't use Apple TV or Blu Ray all that much... 85% of all our use is DirecTV. So if we already have DirecTV remotes that work RF, is there a remote in the universe that can learn those RF codes or something like that and can emit both RF codes and IR codes based on what was learned for the device? So does something exist that when controlling my DirecTV it sends RF but when I tap TV it sends IR because my TV on the desk has line of sight? Otherwise I am guessing I would have to go all RF (which I heard can be slow) and then convert to IR and blast everything... right? And how does it work for a TV that is line of sight if I am using and sending RF? Does it have to go to RF, then relay back via IR... especially if my TV is wall mounted (which I plan on doing) do I then need to run a full IR emitter all the way through the wall up to the TV? I'm good with electronics / computers etc. so setup doesn't scare me, it's my lack of remote knowledge that I just don't know what I need...

I hope this makes sense because I really need some help with this.

Thanks in advance for all your help!
