My setup includes a projector, a DVD player, an amp, a WD HDTV Live network media streamer, and an electric screen which is controlled by an RF remote. One day soon I'll possibly add a console and a BluRay player. Additionally, as soon as the Squeezebox Touch drops below $200 I plan to buy one to add to my system.

I want to replace the existing collection of remotes with one that can handle all the present devices and also be ready for the near-term planned changes. I've looked at many remotes online and they're all either (a) focused on TVs/DVRs/Tivos, (b) Absurdly expensive (I'm not spending $400+ on a remote), or (c) only configurable by professional installation personnel.

What I'm looking for ideally is a remote which is wife-and-kid-friendly with macro abilities and costs $200 or less. The Logitech Harmony range are the obvious candidates but the only one with backlit keys (not a must but would be nice to have) is designed "for the DVR user".

Can someone point me towards an appropriate solution?
