I think it's a great remote that URC sells for $600. If you bought it for $400 you must have had an "alternative source" I am guessing, so sometimes it takes a little extra labor when you have bought it on the cheap.
Not blaming you for saving money at all. We just have this understanding that there can be risks when you buy it at the lowest price.
As it has been stated, then restated, then stated again, then reiterated, then reconfirmed, a dealer can sell the software. You just have to find the dealer that will do that for you.
