I have an old (circa 1996) Onkyo receiver TX-SV424 and a newish Samsung TV LN46B750. The Onkyo remote no longer works. Should I be worried that the current universal remotes will not work with the old Onkyo or will they all work? I am considering one of URC WR7, Sony VL600, VL610 or VLZ620 (when it is available for sale).

If you were to decide between the Sony and URC, considering that they cost about the same, which one would you choose?
