I think the real reason is because of their charging stations.
And I think it's a lame reason.

I do get used to it as I'm sure clients will.
But initial reactions when looking at the remote for the first time are interesting to say the least.

That and a wand style remote should really be one handed but that is not the case with these. You really need two hands.

I love the t3v.
Great size.
Just wish it had hard buttons for transports.
