Start by using setup code TV 171 on the 4063 remote and pressing TV. Then:
1) Press setup
2) Enter 141. See if the Vol goes up when you press the last 1.

1) Press setup
2) Enter 145. See if the Vol goes down when you press the 5.

Assuming that works (it should), setup the VCR key for code 000, and press VCR. At this point, before doing the procedure listed below, you should try every button on the remote to see if the TV or VCR or DVD responds. Maybe you'll find that some of the buttons already work correctly.

Next, assuming that there are non-working functions:

1) Press setup
2) press 141 The volume may go up, or not.

repeat again with 133, and then 157. Maybe only one of these EFCs will work or maybe all three, but write down which EFCs work.

Now do the same thing for Ch+. From the big table above, you can see that the three EFCs to try are 109, 101, and 125. Again write down which ones work.

Do this for every function you want the remote to control. Probably you'll notice a pattern: for example, if Ch+ works using the middle column, so will Ch-. All the EFCs for the digit keys will come from the same column as each other. Same for the transport keys (play, stop, rewind, etc.) We will only need one working EFC for each function, so once you find one that works (and have written it down), you can go on to the next function.

If you find working EFCs, you can assign them semi-permanently to a button by:

1) Press VCR
2) Hold down setup until 2 blinks
3) Enter 994
4) Press setup briefly
5) Enter the 3 digit EFC
Press the button you want to operate this function.

Do this repeatedly for every function you need.
