Not good news. The very recent RCA TVs use a variation on the standard RCA protocol, which for years has modulated the IR signal at 58KHz. The new protocol is very similar, but modulates at 38KHz. The Comcast remote doesn't support this newer protocol. Your TV comes with the RC246 remote, which shoots the new protocol.
You could use a learning remote instead of the Comcast (e.g RCA RCRP05B $20 at Best Buy). Another possibility is to buy ($35 shipped) a JP1 cable and upload the new protocol into the Comcast remote.
